What do you mean 'validate'?

I strive to make websites that are accessible and conform to web industry standards. To run my website through an online checker please click the buttons in the validate menu. Without standards the web would be confusing mess of different code and browsers would not know how to interpret each website. Conforming to web standards will also mean that the code for website can be easily changed or added to at a later date and understood by anyone, not just the person that made it. Furthermore having well written code can improve your search engine rankings. I am proud to be a member of the web standards group.

Cross-browser compatibility

The majority of internet users use Internet Explorer. The main reason is that this browser comes pre-installed on windows computers. Most people do not realise that they have a choice and that there may be better alternatives out there. Websites can look different in different browsers as they interpret the code differently. A well made and standards compliant website will reduce the chances of the website looking bad in each different browser. During and at the end of making a website the site will be checked in several different browsers on several different operating systems. Personally I use Firefox but there are several alternatives for you to choose from. For more information and discussion on alternative browsers why not browse happy?

Accessibility

Accessibility is vital for some of my clients. Accessibility is particularly important for visually impaired users or those using screen readers. Generally accessibility issues are merely a matter of common sense and good design. For example making sure that links are styled clearly. If accessibility is important to your new website contact me to discuss your requirements in more detail.
